Frequently Asked Questions
What size rock do we use?
Our standard rock is ¾” minus. We also offer ⅜” pea gravel.
How long does it take for concrete to set up?
It depends on several different factors, but normally, you can walk on it carefully (no twisting) in 12 hours. In 48 hours, you can remove forms. In 7 days, you can park a car on it. You will have 70% of strength. In 28 days, concrete reaches its full strength.
How thick does it need to be?
We recommend a minimum of 4 inches on driveways, patios, sidewalks, and most slabs.
Do we need to use rebar or fiber mesh?
It depends on the use. It is usually recommended for driveways or other heavy-use areas to reduce cracking.
Do we need to have a gravel base? If so, how deep should it be?
We do recommend it. A compacted gravel base of equal depth to your slab is best.
What tools do I need? And where can I get them?
You should have a screed board, bull float, edger, and hand trowel. You can buy these tools at any of the building supply stores, or you may rent them at most rental stores.

By far the best concrete company out there especially for home owners just trying to do small jobs. My driver was so helpful even when things didn’t go as smooth as everyone would have liked and Ellis who drove the concrete cart was a pro it made my project a success and they were so clean! Even washing down the curb as they left what a great experience and a great company. I have found my concrete supplier for life!!!

I had a pretty unconventional project in my yard where I thought I might need 16 yards of concrete delivered. I called all the major local companies and these guys had the cheapest bid. So I booked them for the job and I’m so glad I did because I only needed 13 yards. Since they mix the concrete on site, they didn’t charge me for the concrete I didn’t need and I saved a bunch of money!
